Field Technician troubleshooting SOP 


This document contains basic questions to ask technicians in the field while they are troubleshooting displays. These questions will help narrow down the issue occurring and hopefully mitigate excessive operational down time. Please add to the document!


  1. What is the current status? Describe what you’re seeing

  2. Confirm objective of technician

  3. Have you tested the screen before mounting?

  4. Confirm current setup of display

  5. Confirm screen powers on, is It receiving a signal?

  6. Do you have a computer or source to test the screen?

  7. Locate media player, confirm cabling is functional

  8. Confirm the technician has proper cabling for display? Does the technician have ability to procure needed cabling?
